Now this is very interesting, Jamaican businesses are facing severe challenges for both selling and collections. While not statistically proven by any means, the few persons that I’ve had dialgue with about the business climate have all indicated this year has been very bad in fact some say the worst they have seen in.
With information revealing that US Corporate profits declined by an estimated 9.8%, the largest drop recorded by the Commerce Department since the fourth quarter of 2008 could this bad year be the ripple effect from the US on our Jamaican economy?
I would like to think that relief is on the way with the recent US monthly data pointing to signs of economic life.
